Constitution of the Tiger Pep Band Print E-mail

a note about the constitution

The Constitution of the Tiger Pep Band was constructed with the varying size of the ensemble in mind. The Constitution as it is written can effectively work for a band as small as 12 members and larger than 100. Therefore, there are sections of the Constriction which provide powers to the senior officers to implement policies based on the size of the band. Namely:

  • According to the Constitution, the Tiger Pep Band Director(s) and Faculty Advisor(s) are empowered to conduct interviews and auditions to determine membership. Presently, we do not conduct interviews or auditions – anyone with reasonable interest is welcome and invited to join the Tiger Pep Band.

  • Also according to the Constitution, the Director(s) and Faculty Advisor(s), in consultation with the Treasurer (if one exists) may collect membership dues from the members of the Tiger Pep Band. It has always been the mission of the band to provide a fun and spirited experience for both the members and our audiences at the smallest cost possible to the band members. Therefore, we do not presently collect dues – this would restrict membership based on financial needs.
